Choosing a Dance Studio

Teaching dance since 1983 in the Wilson community, Hunter’s Dance, Inc. is established as offering the highest studio technical training possible from professionally trained instructors. Students receive age appropriate instruction, wholesome music selection and modest costuming in the annual recitals. Hunter’s Dance Studio is dedicated to providing quality dance instruction in all forms of dance for all ages from 18 months to 18 years in a positive and fun environment where the youngest dancers can start their dancing dream right on through the years when all dancers can realize their highest potential. With a program like ours, we can accommodate students who dance for the simple pleasure of it, students who want to be a part of a competitive dance team, students who want to pursue a career in dance, and students with special needs. Our teaching staff, with years of experience in teaching dance, has been selected for their outstanding training and performance background as well as their teaching credentials and experience.

Choosing a dance studio for your child is an important decision. All dance facilities are not the same, and there are several important things you should consider in looking for the right studio. A dance studio and the instructors and staff that interact with your children have lasting impacts on the lives of the young people they work with. We continually strive to provide our students with a broad base of dance training and technique while promoting a positive and encouraging atmosphere where students will thrive and grow! Our programs, staff, and procedures are consistent, which is important to you and the young dancers who train at our facility. The needs and best interest of our dancers are put first, and our friendly staff is always there to help.

The most fond memory of my experience at Hunter’s Dance was performing in the Nutcracker Ballet. Hunter taught me to practice, practice, practice…encouraging me to meet the challenge of the more difficult choreography. It was Hunter’s encouragement that propelled me to attend the summer school at the UNC School of the Arts. My experience there was the foundation for the next 5 years of my training which concluded with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance. At Hunter’s Dance Inc., I received instruction from a technically proficient, classically trained teacher. And that, in my opinion, is essential for any student desiring to receive quality instruction.
