COMMUNICATION: Each month a newsletter will be published and sent to you via email. This newsletter will contain important information, calendar of upcoming events and the latest news and programs available at the studio. Always check the studio, the newsletter, emails and the website for the latest information. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU LIKE US ON FACEBOOK. We will post a lot of information to our Facebook Fan Page and that is the surest way to get the most up-to-date information and postings! PLEASE MAKE SURE WE HAVE THE CORRECT EMAIL ADDRESS AND CHECK OUR IMPORTANT EMAILS OFTEN!!
REGISTRATION: If there is an opening in the class requested, the Non-Refundable Registration Form/Fee reserves that space.
TUITION: Tuition is due in full by the 10th of the month. Tuition is not discounted for missed classes, for holidays, for illness or injury, or for inclement weather. Tuition is expected to be paid until the studio is notified by email that a student is withdrawing from dance or tumble. Upon withdrawal, costume balances must be paid in full, and costumes will be mailed after they arrive in the spring.
RETURNED CHECK FEE: A $15.00 fee will be charged for returned checks.
DROPPING A CLASS: Please notify the studio by email before the first of the month to avoid tuition fees for the next month. Students are obligated to classes on a monthly basis.
REFUNDS: Registration and costume fees are non-refundable. After October 1st, students are responsible for the balance of the costume/ costumes – even if they withdraw from dance. Stage fees are non- refundable after November 1st. Accounts must be paid in full to participate in the Recitals.
INCLEMENT WEATHER/HOLIDAYS: Hunter’s Dance will be closed on September 4 for Labor Day, November 22 & 23 for Thanksgiving, December 18- January 2 for Christmas and April 2-5 for Spring Break. We Do NOT close for any other holidays or for any teacher workdays. During inclement weather, please call the studio or check facebook. Classes missed due to inclement weather will be made up at the studio’s discretion. Preschool/K5 students may request make up classes to make up missed classes due to illness. 1st – 12th Grade Students will have several extra recital rehearsals for the recitals.
APPROPRIATE DANCEWEAR: All students must wear the appropriate dancewear to participate in dance class. No street clothes are allowed. See Dress Code.
APPROPRIATE DANCE SHOES: All dance shoes in the recitals must be made by Capezio/Ballet Makers or Bloch in the correct color. The Dancer’s Pointe will open in mid-August.
VISITORS: Visitors are not allowed during class because they are distracting and intimidating to some students. A Preschool/K5 Observation Day will be held on Saturday – January 13th.
STAGE FEE: The stage fee covers the rental of the facility, stereo system, backdrop, props, programs, music, and recital help.
NOTIFICATIONS: Parents will be notified if a student does not seem to enjoy dance class. Parents will also be notified if a student is disrespectful or misbehaves in class. Students who continue with disrespectful or disruptive behavior will be asked to withdraw from class.
RECITALS AND HCDC SHOWCASE: HCDC Showcase – March 4th; Recitals for 3 Year Olds through 3rd Grades are April 28th; Recitals for 4th – 12th Grades are May 5th.
